Not all people calling themselves health coaches are trained and/or certified. So, yes, you have to be careful.
I have completed a board-accredited health and wellness coach training program, completed required practice hours, and have passed the board exam to be a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), which is awarded by the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches in partnership with the National Board of Medical Examiners.
I am also a Gallup-Certified Strengths coach and hold a Master’s degree in clinical social work.
And I am definitely not trying to sell you some multi-level marketing product.

No, by law, I cannot. You would need to get those things from your doctor, a registered dietician, or a certified trainer. Health coaches help you implement your health plans and goals and build habits. However, if you’re unsure where to start, I can refer you to research-backed resources to explore nutrition and exercise options.

No. Coaching focuses on the present and future. Therapy focuses on the past and diagnosing and treating mental health disorders. Many people who work with coaches also have a therapist because the two provide different services. However, in coaching, we can talk about your mental health, and I can help you strategize how to implement advice you may have received from your therapist or doctor.

No. Coaching for writers is focused on your process and career. I will not read your manuscript. I am not a book coach or an editor. For that service, I recommend editor Dawn Alexander.

For Writer sessions:
$125 for full 45-min sessions
$99 for 30-min check-in sessions
If you have not already taken your Gallup CliftonStrengths assessment, you will need to book a 45-min session for your first session in order to get a code to take the test. After that, you can decide if you’d like full sessions or shorter sessions.
For Health and Wellness clients:
$125 for the initial 45-minute session
$99 for 30-min sessions after the intial
